Keeping our community safe is our top priority. With the ongoing spread of COVID-19 within our Shire and our aim of keeping our community members and staff safe, we have decided to temporarily suspend all Storytime and Rhyme Time sessions at our libraries.

We all understand the importance of how reading aloud to children greatly improves language and literacy skills, especially in the early years of a child’s development and we would like to encourage families to check out some of the other tools available. Did you know that you can use your Shire of Capel library card to use Story Box Library – which is a subscription based educational website, created for children to view stories by local authors and illustrators, being read aloud by fantastic, predominantly Australian and New Zealand, storytellers.
